Intrigued by the manipulation of Polymer Clay and it's recent hallmark on the timeline of design in many directions, I couldn't resist an opportunity to express myself through some experimentation. Finished "Faux Food" brooches present as, "Pardon Me, Is That Caviar on Your Lapel" and "A Modest Repast". The rest of the layout is breads, crumpets, and all manner of sweeties prepared in advance for the development of more Faux Food Jewelry....to be rendered in all elegance possible. Each item is a miniature! Brings a smile, a joke, a whimsical attitude, and that is all that I could ask for, in this tongue in cheek poke at jewelry colliding with food. I did some research before I started this project and have visually recreated some very exciting desserts that I have reviewed....and dream't of tasting! If you take jewelry very seriously, then I apologize in advance for assaulting your sensibilities. I enjoy all jewelry, from the very finest, to the most humble. If I find art happening somewhere, even at my own design table.....well ..... stuff happens. It had to be done. That's the way the cookies crumble! hahahahahaha
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.
Your Darkest Dreams is a monthly feature devoted to sharing dark photography works from DeviantArt. Often misunderstood as "morbid" or "depressing", Your Darkest Dreams seeks to show this kind of photography in a new way: by showcasing art that is thought provoking, but at the same time unabashedly displays the beauty in darkness.
